Donoghue Building Services - New Home Builds

In any work we undertake we are thorough in quoting what is required.  We want you to have a clear understanding of what the costs will be and how long we anticipate the project to take.

For new builds we will be working with architectural plans and specifications that you have provided, we will give you a quote that will clearly break down materials and labour component.

We do not charge you for our time in quoting and appraising your requirements. 

We will endeavour to estimate a time frame that realistically is achievable for the completion of the project from when the project commences.

You will also be given a progress payment plan including advice when the deposit is required, this must be paid on the due date for payment.  Throughout the process we will keep you updated on progress.

Should we be involved in site works such as excavation and retaining there may be additional costs as we discover site requirements.

The owners of this site entered into a contract with another builder to build two upmarket townhouses on a piece of land. The builder started the work and then came to a grinding halt and left them in the lurch. The work done was not to a good standard and a lot of remedial work needed to be conducted prior to continuing with the project. This was a difficult new build but had a pleasant end result.

We have been engaged by the owner of this piece of land to build 3 townhouses and we have worked to develop the site with all land excavation and retaining as well as the house builds. The rear house was completed first followed by the middle house and upon successful sale of the middle house the front house will be built. Work in progress still.

The owners of this house had their own plans and very specific ideas of the finish they required. They employed Donoghue Building Service to project manage their project and supply all materials and subcontractors. A very high standard home was the final outcome.

"When we decided to do a development project we were left in a crisis situation by our previous builder who could not continue with our build project of 2 houses in Kohi/St Heliers.  Only one house was at foundation stage and we had a huge bridging loan at the time!

Pat put his hand up to “help” us complete the project.  With Pat’s “help”, he singularly took control of the project, rectified the previous builders muck ups and not only completed both houses in record time, but managed to complete the houses to a very high standard.  Pat worked extremely hard throughout the project alongside a lot of other commitments he already had. He liaised with everybody concerned such as Quality Surveyors from the bank, council inspectors, part time labourers, suppliers, etc.
